• Fitness Data: Workout history, exercise logs, progress photos, and body measurements
• Health Data: If you connect Apple HealthKit, we may access steps, heart rate, and activity data
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide personalized nutrition and fitness tracking
• Generate AI-powered meal suggestions and coaching advice
• Track your progress toward your health and fitness goals
• Sync data across your devices

3. Apple HealthKit Integration

metrAI integrates with Apple HealthKit to provide a comprehensive health and fitness experience. This integration is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission.

Data We Read from HealthKit:

• Activity Data: Steps, distance walked/run, active energy burned
• Workout Data: Workout sessions, exercise minutes, calories burned during exercise
• Heart Rate: Heart rate measurements and resting heart rate
• Body Measurements: Weight and body fat percentage (if recorded in Health app)

Data We Write to HealthKit:

• Nutrition Data: Calorie intake, macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat)
• Weight: Weight entries logged in metrAI

HealthKit Data Usage:

• HealthKit data is used solely to enhance your fitness tracking experience within metrAI
• We do NOT use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing purposes
• We do NOT sell or share HealthKit data with third parties
• HealthKit data is stored securely on your device and in your encrypted metrAI account
• You can disconnect HealthKit at any time in app settings, and we will stop accessing your Health data

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on encrypted servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure password hashing
• Regular security audits
• Access controls and authentication

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in these circumstances:
